Coach is a company that started out of New York in Manhattan. It's a company that started with quality, and continued a tradition of high-quality products. It's those high standards that has always set Coach out in front. The founder of Coach was looking at a baseball glove, and found inspiration in the leather and markings.
Due to the highest standards of workmanship, and using only the best materials, they continue to have a huge, loyal fan base. They aim to use simple styles, classic designs and great product. They also kept things like proportion in mind when designing their original bags. Every classic bag, to their newer styles all stick to this same principle. Whether you love their Sofia C bag, their Ergo or Legacy handbag...they are distinctively Coach.
Dooney & Bourke

When it's been made in the US, the tag is red/white/blue and has a serial number on the bag, along with "Made in the USA" on it. When it's been made in China the tag is a different color, usually black and white. It will say "Made in China" on it.
Their outlet bag selections aren't seconds. They are different than factory irregulars. They are overstocks. They get released to stores to be sold at discounted prices.
