Can a Woman Change Her Mind?

I remember seeing people with designer purses and thinking, how can someone spend that much money on a purse. Then years ago, my daughter's one friend who wasn't that well off at all, her parents were divorced and she lived with her mom, and and by the way, she was only 13 at the time..so anyway, she would come over and have a Dooney and Burke, or a Coach purse. What does a 13 year old need with a designer bag?

It turns out her father would buy them for her just because she asked. Now that worked for their family, but now suddenly my daughter wanted one too. Why could her friend have one, and she couldn't?!! Her grandmother also had all the designer bags, so she thought she should have them as well, only she wanted me to pay for them!

One weekend when her grandmother took her out school shopping, when she returned home she was excited to show us she got her very first Dooney and Bourke bag! Her grandmother bought it for her. Well I thought, to each their own....I just didn't get it.

The following Christmas she bought me a Coach purse as a gift. I don't know what it was, but I had never been so excited! I changed my stuff immediately out of my cheap purse into the Coach bag before me, and when I went out I felt good. Needless to say I've never looked at purses the same. I even saved for my own Dooney and Bourke.
